The board meets on the 4th thursday of the month at 10 am at Metro Headquarters on the third floor in the board room.
The board consists of 15 members including the CEO. There is currently one who does not vote when its time to vote.
The board sets policies, approves contracts, people on the service councils, schedule changes that Metro does every 3-6 months, and other things that might not affect us directly as riders.
In recent times, they have approved periods where Metro's services were free due to circumstances like a fire, or a specific day on the calendar like Earth Day which allows riders to experience transit at no cost.
They have also approved certain other days to be free, and the blog puts out notices of any changes ona regular basis.
Here is the web page to the board. You can view past meetings, see an entire schedule of meetings, listen to recordings of prior meetings, as well as watch the meetings when they are live.
Some of the board members are part of other committees that include operations, the finance and budget committee, planning amnd programming, and others that I may not know about.
The agendas will be hosted through this page and will be linked once they become available. I can not guarantee that we can do braille on this agenda due to the complexity of the document but we'll try. If it is a success, this page will be updated with this change.
The next board meeting will be October 23, 2025.
