The Accessibility Advisory Committee plays a pivital role here at Los Angeles Metro. The group has quite a number of members, and the group also has officers as well.
Staff also help with administering the committee just like all of the others that are ran by the agency.
If you want to learn more about this committee, this is one of two links that we found. Here is the second link that also talks about the committee, among others that are run.
The accessibility Advisory Committee meet on the following months: February, March, May, June, August, September, November and December. This change was approved in 2021 by the steering committee.
This steering committee does assist staff with Agenda items.
The committee meets on the second thursday of the months listed above at Metro Headquarters in the Henry Huntington room at 1PM.
In recent times, our agendas have contained items for board reports. Where applicable, the board reports will be part of this page under our meetings. Also, braille will be made available as discussed on the web site as well.
While compiling links, we found the accessibility advisory committee also has a Dropbox that you can access. Like PSAC, if you don't want to deal with the dropbox, we'll supply copies. Here is the AAC dropbox.
The next Accessibility Advisory Committee meeting will be November 13, 2025.
To download any of these files, please right click and select "save target as" or "save link as" in your browser. Save the file in a directory of your choice and thanks for stopping by! The braille files are 40 cell files. If you need other sizes, please contact Jared and request it.
The files will be available within 1 week of the meeting, and will be available until the next meeting.
That completes all of the meeting files at this time.
These are presentations that may be of interest that were presented by AAC staff to the AAC. If there are others, we'll link to them here.
That's all the presentations for now.
As part of the AAC, I've tried to write up board reports that might be of value between all of the meetings. These will stay up for at least one quarter unless we need more space.
There are no board reports at this time. There has been nothing of interest to write about.
That's all of the board reports at this time.
These may be books that might be of interest. They were talked about within Metro events attended by me.
If there are others that staff know about, they're welcome to submit the title and author to me.
These books do not mean endorsements to the authors. You may check BARD or other reading services used by disabled users.
The books listed herein are linked to from Amazon. We're not allowed to link to blindness related copies if available by law.
If possible, after the linked book, NLS audio and braille book numbers may be listed at Jared's discretion. DB equals digital book, BR equals braille book.
That is the end of the book list. Thanks so much for checking out the books!
The blog has lots of information that could be of interest. I've been reading it for many years. This section of the web site will have those posts that might be of interest. The Source is the English version of the blog, while El Pasajero is the spanish version. In the following list, you'll find English versions of posts that might be of interest including detours, delays and posts on construction that might affect routes of people taking the system.
